Firstsite Summer School

8 - 24 August 2017 10:30am - 4:30pm

£30 per day

Inspired by the current exhibitions at Firstsite, children can take a journey across the globe to explore identity through drawing, painting, moving and making. These artist-led sessions are a great opportunity for 8 to 11 year olds to try something new and create something beautiful in a fun and informal environment.

Participants can try out a range of printing techniques and painting on canvas. Inspired by the patterns, colours and themes in the gallery’s exhibition of work by 2017 Turner Prize nominee Lubaina Himid. Led by textile artist Jacqueline Davies.
