In the sixteenth century, large numbers of skilled craftspeople from lowland Europe made their way to Essex. As religious refugees, they sought peace – and the opportunity to ply their trades.

Join historian and honorary fellow of the Department of History at The University of Essex, David Grocott, to discover the economic impact of the arrival of the Dutch, and the enduring contribution immigrants made to the town.

This event is an online talk hosted via a Zoom webinar.
