Printmaking By Hand
Tuesday 14 May - Tuesday 17 September 2024
Café Breakout Space
A new printmaking workshop, replacing Sketch, Etch and Scones. Sessions will continue to be run by Karen Densham.
Join local artist, Karen Densham for this accessible and fun approach to printmaking.
Explore low tech printing methods like dry point etching, Lino cutting, mono printing, impression printing and more.
We will be using nature and personal artefacts as inspiration, as well as drawings from sketchbooks/journals that you will be encouraged to keep.
These sessions are about ‘playing’ with easy techniques to generate images, patterns and textures in a non judgemental and supportive environment.
No experience necessary, just enthusiasm – all materials provided.
Here’s what some of our previous attendees said about the workshop:
“Thanks to Karen who has greatly guided us through various printing techniques, giving us ideas and tips as needed. It was fabulous to have such a lot of attention as a small group. Looking forward to returning!”
“Enjoying two hours with an immediate result to take home. Well presented and with plenty of materials.”

“Really enjoyed this class, absolutely brilliant! Achieved more than I thought I would! Thank you very much indeed.”
