Holiday Fun Easter 2021 FAQs

When do activities take place?

For Easter 2021, Holiday Fun activities and takeaway meals will take place at Firstsite during school holiday weekdays only from Mon 29 March – Thu 2 April and Tue 6 – Fri 9 April. Activities and takeaway meals won’t run on weekends or bank holidays.

Upon arrival, please go to the ‘d-shaped lawn’ which is to the left of the main doors to the building.

Do I need to book?

Advanced booking is essential. If you can no longer attend a booking, please let us know so we can allocate your places to someone else who needs them.

When do tickets become available?

Tickets for all activities Mon 29 March – Thu 2 April and Tue 6 – Fri 9 April are available to book from Wed 24 March at 9am.

How do I book?

You can book via our website.

When making your booking, choose how many children you wish to take part in the sports session. You can then select their meal preference, choosing from a meat or vegan meal.

Once these tickets have been added to your basket, you can add meals for the rest of the family.

Can I book a takeaway meal without my children taking part in the sports sessions?

In order to book a takeaway meal you need to have at least one child booked onto a sports session. Please contact info@firstsite.uk or call 01206 713 700 Mon – Sun 9am – 3:30pm if you have any concerns about your child(ren) taking part in the sports sessions.

Will there be ‘Make’ activities inside the building?

For Easter 2021 we are offering outside sports sessions and takeaway meals only, however every takeaway meal will include creative activities to take home.

Tell me more about the sports sessions

The sports sessions are free movement-based activities for children that take place twice each day, at 10:15am and 12pm Mon 29 March – Thu 2 April and Tue 6 – Fri 9 April. Each session lasts an hour and a half. Advanced booking is essential.

Activities are most suitable for ages 4 – 11 years, but all ages are welcome.

The sports sessions take place on the ‘d-shaped lawn’ which is to the left of the main doors to the building. Please make sure children are dressed appropriately for the weather.

Caregivers are required to stay and watch their child(ren) during the sports sessions, but do not need to book themselves a ticket. Outside seating will be available, but meals must be taken off-site.

All sports sessions are free for families that qualify for Free School Meals or require additional support during this school holiday.

Tell me more about the takeaway meals

The takeaway service offers free healthy meals for families to collect after the sports sessions Mon 29 March – Thu 2 April and Tue 6 – Fri 9 April at 11:45am or 1:30pm. Advanced booking is essential.

Takeaway meals can be collected at your allotted time from a pick-up point near to where the sports sessions take place, accessible via the ‘d-shaped lawn’ to the left of the main doors to the building.

Please book a takeaway collection time that immediately follows your children’s sports session, e.g.

Sport session at 10:15am – book your takeaway collection for 11:45am.
Sport session at 12:00pm – book your takeaway collection for 1:30pm.

All meals are free for any family that qualifies for Free School Meals or requires additional support during this school holiday.

Meals cannot be eaten on the d-shaped lawn or surrounding area, so please take them with you.

There are multiple meal choices each day. Please check the menu on our website.

Will there be a dine-in canteen?

No, we are only offering a takeaway service for Easter 2021.

What safety measures have you put in place?

We have put a number of measures in place to provide a safe and fun experience for everyone:

  • Staff equipped with PPE
  • Surfaces and seating cleaned regularly
  • Toilets closely monitored and regularly cleaned
  • Socially distanced sports activities with equipment cleaned between sessions
  • Hand sanitising stations
  • Participants’ details recorded as part of ‘NHS Test and Trace’

Please wear a face covering if you need to enter the building, unless you are exempt.

The steps we have taken meet the Government and public health guidance, and we hold the
