Firstsite is a contemporary visual arts organisation based in a stunning, award winning gallery in Colchester, Essex. Since opening in 2011, Firstsite has welcomed over a million visitors. Firstsite has established its reputation for being an art gallery of regional and national importance especially through its work bringing internationally significant artworks to very diverse audiences.
This pivotal role, working closely with the Director and the broader senior management team, you will support Firstsite’s business planning and lead on its financial strategy. You will lead on all governance, contractual, financial and treasury arrangements. You will be responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the finance team and the finances of Firstsite, ensuring a proactive financial support service across all aspects of the organisation.
In particular, the Finance Director will take a leading role in producing, maintaining and reviewing the four-year financial model to support the delivery of our strategic aims. Producing annual budgets and regular forecasts – this will include a priority on ensuring the rapid improvements of our income generation performance across commercial activity.
To succeed in this role, you will be fully qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA and will demonstrate extensive financial expertise and business acumen, with experience in leadership roles at director or senior manager level. You will have excellent analytical skills and be proficient in communicating financial data to a broad range of stakeholders.
