Programme Organiser, Holiday Fun
£22,000 gross per annum
Firstsite is a contemporary visual arts organisation based in a stunning, award
winning Gallery in Colchester, Essex. Since opening in 2011, Firstsite has
established its reputation for being an art Gallery of regional and national
importance especially through its work bringing internationally significant
artworks to very diverse audiences.
Firstsite was awarded Art Fund’s Museum of the Year 2021.
We are looking to appoint a full time Programme Organiser to support our Holiday
Fun Programme on a 6 months fixed term contract.
In this role you will contribute to Firstsite’s school holiday programme which was
set up as a response to food poverty in the school holidays (‘Holiday Hunger’).
The programme celebrates the positive impact of creativity on self-worth, problem solving and mental wellbeing, welcoming families to Firstsite to enjoy a free meal,
sport, artist-designed activities and the sense of safety and community generated
by the gallery.
You will be based at our site in Colchester, with occasional travel to Harwich.
