COVID-19 | Tell us your story

30th June 2020

Are you a health or care worker who has been working within the NHS Integrated Care System in Essex or Suffolk during the pandemic? How has it affected you?

We’re looking for frontline health workers such as nurses, doctors, carers, NHS staff and volunteers to tell us about their experience of the pandemic.

Ten stories will be selected to be part of our ‘COVID-19 Experiences’ project, taking the form of a new exhibition which will open at Firstsite in Autumn 2020.

The project is designed record and explore the experiences of people from across our community, and to help people, including key-workers who have experienced COVID-19 on the frontline, to process their experiences through art and creativity.

Community is at the heart of everything we do at Firstsite. Our gallery, in the heart of Colchester, presents exhibitions made in collaboration with local people to produce relatable experiences and help us all to discover creative solutions to life’s challenges.

The ‘COVID-19 Experiences’ project is vital to help our community understand the far-reaching effects of the pandemic, and navigate a way through the world we now find in front of us.

Tell us your own story or nominate someone else by clicking the button below and then completing the form at the bottom of the page.
