CLIP is a weekly meet up for anyone with an interest in the more experimental side of music and sound. An opportunity for sonic exploration through collaboration, discussion, sharing ideas, jam sessions, installations, live soundtracks and workshops.

Alongside a weekly meet up CLIP also organise regular performances which showcase ideas and skills developed within the workshops.

29 OCT | SYNTHS
Try out a variety of synths, from a classic Casio SK1 to a reissue Roland Juno – whether you have a stylophone or a Moog all keyboards are welcome and we have some you can try out too.

5 NOV | SONIC PI
Learn to programme music through writing code using Sonic Pi, the free creative coding software. Laptops will be provided but you’re welcome to bring own.

12 NOV | DECODE YOUR VOICE W/ LOULA YORKE
Uncover and explore the qualities of your voice and use digital effects to bend and stretch them into exciting new shapes.

19 NOV | JAM SESSION
Musical games and improvisation challenges, bring whatever instrument you like and lets jam!

26 NOV | VIDEO GLITCHING W/ HENRY DRIVER
Create analog video glitching by putting video cameras through guitar pedals to create unique and retro visuals.

3 DEC | MUSICAL ROBOTS
Experiment with Micro:Bit circuit boards and servo motors to make robotic instruments. All equipment provided, no experience required.

10 DEC | HIP HOP BEAT MAKING
Explore the intersection of hip hop and technology, using Ableton push and iMaschine to create new and unique beats.

17 DEC | JAM SESSION
Musical games and improvisation challenges, bring whatever instrument you like and lets jam!
