Children can get active and release some steam this December with Rugby at Firstsite Holiday Fun in Colchester!

Most suitable for 4 – 11 years, but all ages welcome. Caregivers are required to stay on site throughout the activities.

Activities take place outside. Please make sure those taking part in activities are dressed appropriately for the weather.

About your coach

Clarice has been playing rugby for 9 years. She first played in for her 6^th form team and continued playing during her time at the University of Hull. She then moved back to East Anglia and played for an Ipswich club.

Haven obtained a level 2 qualification in Rugby coaching; Clarice is now a coach at the Colchester rugby club for players between the ages of 4-18.

Alongside Clarice’s coaching, she has also been a captain for the under 18’s Eastern Counties Rugby Tournament and coached at St Joseph’s Rugby Festival in Ipswich.

During the training session, Clarice hopes to engage the children with non-contact, skilled based training and introduce fun rugby games such as sharks & fishes and kickout.

Our Holiday Fun activities are for families facing economic challenges or who require additional support during the school holidays, including those that qualify for benefits-based free school meals.

Holiday Fun is designed in partnership with African Families in the UK, Bangladeshi Women’s Association Essex, and Level Best Enterprises.

This project has been funded by the North East Essex Health and Wellbeing Alliance and Wellbeing Alliance and the Neighbourhood programme and Essex Community Foundation.  Funding is administered through One Colchester.

Early bird tickets are on sale from 9am on Tuesday 10 Dec 2024. More tickets will be released three days in advance of each session.

Bookings can be made by selecting a date at the bottom of this page, or by calling 01206 713 700. Spaces are limited, offered on a first come, first served basis.

Please note there is no parking available at Firstsite, however there are car parks nearby, and Colchester Town Centre is well serviced by public transport. How to get here

Please let us know as soon as possible if you can’t attend your booking by emailing

[email protected] or by calling 01206 713 700. If you or your child feels unwell on the day of an event, we ask that you please don’t attend.

If you contact us 24 hours before the event your space can be made available for another family. Thank you!
