How Your Support Helps
Art transforms lives, changing the way we see the world, inspiring new ideas and creative thinking and connecting communities and cultures.
Art also helps to keep us well and has been recognised as a key component in addressing major challenges facing health and social care, from long term conditions to mental health and loneliness.
We are a charity
Firstsite is a registered charity (no. 1031800) and relies upon the generosity of our audiences and supporters to continue to deliver the highest quality art and culture.
Thanks to our supporters, we have shown free exhibitions from world-class artists including Zhang Enli, Gillian Wearing, Grayson Perry, Roy Colmer, Andy Warhol, Cory Arcangel and John Constable.
Your support can help us continue to exhibit exceptional art and disrupt the way we all experience the world so that we can build new connections, develop ideas and find creative solutions together.
However you support us, you help us continue to keep our gallery free and accessible for all to enjoy, and deliver education programmes and local creative community projects that support families and young people from all backgrounds and circumstances to discover and develop their creativity.
Holiday Fun
Holiday Fun is one of the creative community projects we are able deliver thanks to our incredible supporters.
The programme runs throughout the school holidays to provide families with a fun day out at Firstsite where they can get creative, eat a nutritious meal and enjoy physical activity.

Young Art Kommunity (YAK) is made possible through the generosity of our supporters, providing a free, inclusive space where young people aged 15–25 can develop their creativity, build confidence, access mentoring, and work alongside professional artists through workshops, exhibitions, and creative projects.
Your support can help young people like Holly build confidence, develop their skills, and discover new possibilities for their future.
