Holiday Fun

Get making, moving and munching with Holiday Fun in Colchester and Harwich over the school holidays!

Our drop-in creative activities for families change daily and are available from 10am-2:30pm.  Outdoor sports activities for children are a great way to keep active and have fun.

Families can also book into the canteen for a hot, nutritious lunch every day.

Holiday Fun events are free for families that qualify for free school meals, or those that require additional support during the school holidays.

Holiday Fun runs in Harwich at Harwich Arts and Heritage Centre and in Colchester at Firstsite.

Check our What’s on page for details of Holiday Fun events. Events will be advertised in the weeks leading up to the school holidays.

About Holiday Fun

Through our programme, we aim to help children stay happy, healthy and creative, and provide a fun space for both children and adults to interact and socialise.

The activities are most suitable for 4–11 years but all ages are welcome.

All activities are listed in our What’s On section when available.

Children and their parents or caregivers can enjoy a hot and nutritious lunch at Firstsite’s canteen. All meals are free to any family who feels they would benefit.

Keep children active with fun movement and sports activities, such as street dance and multi-sports. All sports sessions are free, but spaces are limited so early booking is advised. Activities are most suitable to ages 4-11, but all ages are welcome.

Fun and creative activities are held every day during Holiday Fun for children and families to enjoy. All activities are free and there is no need to book, just drop in and get creative.
