Café and Bar Assistants (Contracted and Casual)

Colchester, Essex

 

PERMANENT (Contracted) – candidates must be available for the full rota(s) applied for:

Salary:  £22,308 pa – pro rata based on contracted shifts per week

Rota 1: Tue/Wed/Sat – 9:00am-5:00pm (inc 30 min unpaid break) – 22.5 hpw

Rota 2: Thu/Fri/Sat      Thu/Fri 5:00-8:00pm (no break) and Sat 12:00-8:30pm (inc 30min unpaid break) – 14 hpw

Rota 3: Fri – 11:00am-3:00pm (no break) – 4 hpw

Rota 4: Sun – 9:00am-5:00pm (inc 30min unpaid break) – 7.5 hpw

 

CASUAL (Zero hours) – ad hoc shifts – £12.21 ph

 

For the stability of Café staffing, candidates should have the right to work in the UK for a minimum of one year.

We are looking to appoint Café & Bar Assistants to our team. Reporting to the Café Services & Bar Manager, the post holders will contribute to the continued success of our café, bar and events:

  • This is not a development role so extensive bar, waiting and cooking experience is essential as you will be required to hit the ground running; preparing, as well as serving, food and carrying out bar service during larger events as part of the role
  • As bar service is required you MUST be over 18
  • A commitment to excellent customer services is essential
  • Reliability is essential

PLEASE NOTE:  Where we are advertising for Casual Workers you should be aware that this is not the same work arrangement as contracted employees.  There are no set roles or hours/days of work.  Shifts may be offered to you on an “ad hoc” basis, as and when there is a requirement for work to be done.  You are free to accept or decline such offers of work.  You are not guaranteed any or a minimum level of work and we are under no obligation to offer you further or particular periods of work.
