An exhibition of digital and multimedia art, ‘Unravelling New Futures’ explores how the intersection of the black experience, technology and historical narratives can inspire new ways of thinking critically about the future.

Through video, performance and sculpture, this exhibition not only raises questions about how the transmission of historical and encoded bias through the systems we take for granted effects our day to day lives but is also an invitation to engage with and co-create visions of collective futures.

Unravelling New Futures is curated by Afro-Futures_UK, a UK based group made up of artists, writers, activists and academics interested in exploring the future black experience through design, science fiction, tech and futurism.
