Sean Baker’s Oscar winning film for Best Picture stars Mikey Madison as Anora. Anora is a young sex worker who’s fairytale love story is disrupted as time reveals hidden secrets from her new husband.

Anora, a young sex worker from Brooklyn, is set up with the son of an Oligarch in her club because she is the only one who understands Russian. While language brought them together attractions keeps them inseparable.

Their love leads to a shot-gun marriage in Las Vegas. But once the news reaches Russia, her fairytale is threatened as the parents set out for New York to get the marriage annulled.

‘At once a frenzied fairy tale and a tender-hearted character study, Anora is an intoxicating pairing of director and star. Baker’s unique, humanistic approach to filmmaking is as riveting and rewarding as ever.’ – Empire ★★★★☆
