Explore the our Leonora Carrington exhibition with a tour by Programme Manager, Exhibitions George Morl.
George will lead an overview tour of ‘Avatars & Alliances’ discussing highlights of the exhibition, Carrington’s early links with Essex, as well as focusing on the various stories and connections of the artists included in the show.
The tour will also be a great opportunity to see Carrington’s friend, Lee Miller’s photographs and learn more about her works and life.

We will also be hosting a screening of Lee after the tour starring award winning actress Kate Winslet.
Lee tells the story of Lee Miller, American photographer, who is determined to document the truth of the Nazi regime, in spite of the odds stacked against female correspondents. This feature film includes scenes and photographs that are exhibited in our gallery.
