Based on Niall Williams’ best-selling novel, Four Letters of Love.

Nicholas and Isabel were made for each other but how will they ever know it?

As ghosts, fate and the sheer power of true love pull them together, so too does life threaten to tear them apart.

Nicholas’s father, William has an epiphany at work one day and decides to abandon his job in Dublin to the west of Ireland and pursue the life of a painter.

In the west of Ireland, Isabel has been traumatised by her brother’s illness and is being sent away to a school run by nuns.

Her mother Muiris, a poet and schoolteacher, wins one of Williams paintings in a poetry competition.

Thus starts a series of miraculous events of love.
