Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro adapts Mary Shelley’s classic tale of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.
Driven by the shadow of his domineering father (Charles Dance), Victor becomes obsessed with conquering death fusing science and ambition to create life from the remains of the dead.
Supported by his brother William (Felix Kammerer) and watched warily by Elizabeth (Mia Goth), Victor’s experiment attracts the interest of powerful industrialist Harlander (Christoph Waltz), who funds his pursuit of the impossible.
