Adopt a seat in our cinema frequently asked questions

Does adopting a seat mean I own it?

No. Adopting a seat does not give ownership or reserved use of the seat. The seat will continue to be used by audience members during events and screenings. Your plaque will remain in place for the duration of your adoption period.

What can I put on my plaque?

You can dedicate your seat to yourself, a loved one, a family member, friend, colleague or organisation. Many people choose to mark a special occasion, celebrate someone’s life, or leave a message in memory of someone special.

All plaque wording is subject to approval by Firstsite. There will also be a limit on the number of characters you can use.

How long does the plaque stay in place?

Your plaque will remain on the seat for the duration of your adoption term of 10 years.

Can I choose my seat?

Yes, you will be able to choose from all of our available seats within the cinema.

Can I adopt a seat as a gift?

Absolutely. Adopt a Seat makes a thoughtful and lasting gift for birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, weddings or other special occasions.

Can businesses adopt seats?

Yes. Local businesses and organisations are welcome to adopt seats as part of their support for Firstsite and the local community.

Can I renew my seat adoption?

We will contact you before your adoption period ends to discuss renewal options, giving you the opportunity to continue your support and retain your plaque.

Can I adopt a seat for longer than 10 years?

Of course! Please email us on georgek@firstsite.uk to discuss longer-term adoption options.
