Join us for a fun, festive family workshop where you’ll design and decorate a lantern to take home and enjoy throughout the winter season.

As Colchester lights up for winter, get creative and make your own colourful festive lantern to brighten up your home during the darker evenings.

What to expect

Start by exploring different ways to decorate your lantern, choosing colours, patterns, and festive details to make it your own. You will be guided through the making process, helping you turn simple materials into a bright and colourful lantern.

This is a relaxed, hands-on session designed for families to enjoy making together, with plenty of opportunity for creativity and personal touches.

You’ll leave with your own handmade festive lantern, ready to bring a little extra colour and light to your home.

Good to know
