Visit our major exhibition, Sue Webster: Birth of an Icon, and enrich your experience with a guided Gallery Tour led by a Firstsite Visitor Assistant.
Discover our exhibitions through a guided Gallery Tour led by a Firstsite Visitor Assistant. These tours offer a fresh and engaging way to explore what’s on display, shaped by the individual perspective of each guide.
No two tours are ever the same – each Visitor Assistant brings their own insights, interpretations and personal responses, creating an open and welcoming space for conversation, curiosity and new ways of seeing.
Currently, these tours focus on our major exhibition, Sue Webster: Birth of an Icon, offering a unique opportunity to experience the work through a range of different viewpoints.
Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning for another look, a Gallery Tour can reveal new ideas and spark unexpected connections with the artworks on display.
Each tour lasts approximately 30 minutes.
Please meet your Visitor Assistant outside the gallery entrance at least 5 minutes before the scheduled start time to allow for ticket checking.

About the exhibition
Defaced leather jackets, memorabilia, self-portraits, video, and installation – journey through a raw, and personal exploration of art, identity, and growing up different.
Marking her first major solo show after a celebrated collaborative career, this landmark exhibition centres on ‘The Crime Scene’, an installation developed since 2019, charting her life from teenager to now. It is the first time this seminal work has left the studio.
