Get making during our Holiday Fun: Make session with a variety of free creative activities at Firstsite this half-term.

Most suitable for those aged 4 – 11 yrs, but all ages welcome.

Drop-in anytime between 10am – 2:30pm from Tuesday to Saturday to take part.

No need to book for our Make sessions.

Adults required to stay.

Session Activities 

Tue – Diwali Diyas by Hetal Amin

Celebrate Diwali – the festival of lights – by decorating your very own ‘diya’ lamp and desiging ‘rangoli’ patterns to decorate the floor and bring good luck.

Wed – Clean Air Clouds by Clean Air Day

Clean Air Colchester will be running activities including a clean air cloud activity where children can draw a picture of what clean air means to them, learn about air quality and make a pledge to help take care of our air.

Thu – Mop Shelter by Jane Ostler

Join exhibiting artist Jane Ostler in this fun workshop playing with the idea of making cleaning up fun…. come and build a mop shelter, a mini sanctuary which celebrates everyday moments of kindness, through creativity, comfort and connection.

Our Holiday Fun activities are for families facing economic challenges or who require additional support during the school holidays, including those that qualify for benefits-based free school meals.

Holiday Fun is designed in partnership with African Families in the UK, Bangladeshi Women’s Association Essex, and Level Best Enterprises.
