Mufasa: The Lion King explores the origins of Mufasa, Simba’s late father through Rafiki’s gripping account of the past.
In the Pride Lands after the events of The Lion King (2019) Rafiki tells the story of two lions. Mufasa and Taka.
Mufasa is an orphan who is taken in by the royal family of the young prince Taka. The two soon become close brothers.
But with the threat of another lion pride led by the territorial Kiros and the meeting of the lioness Sarabi, Mufasa’s natural leadership and Taka’s jealousy rise to become the brothers Mufasa and Scar we know them as.
