Opening Celebration | Autumn Exhibitions 2025
Exhibitions: Talks & Events: FREE
(No booking required)
This autumn, we open our doors to two exhibitions that take you from the natural to the abstract.
Â
Be among the first to experience our new show – Into Abstraction: Modern British Art and the Landscape, which explores how some of Britain’s most influential artists, including Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore, and L.S. Lowry, used colour, shape, and form to capture emotion, memory, and experience during a century of change.
In today’s unsettled times, their work invites us to reflect on how art helps us make sense of a a world in constant change.
This exhibition is organised by The Hepworth Wakefield in collaboration with Firstsite.
Alongside this, we’ll also be celebrating the opening of Into the Orchard –Â a new immersive audio-visual installation by artists Hana Loftus and Maddie Persent, taking you on a journey through the seasons at Crapes Fruit Farm near Aldham.
Join us for a lively opening evening with conversations featuring artists, insights from our team, and the chance to connect with fellow art enthusiasts.
