Led by artist Sue Gascoyne, discover how to use tissue paper to add interest, colour, focus, light, shade and tonal qualities to your work.
You will also use pastels and pen to create your own still life or favourite landscape artwork to take home.
There will be opportunities to experiment and play with colour, shape and form with often surprising results.
About Sue Gasgoyne:
Sue Gascoyne is a socially engaged artist whose current practice uses textiles, stitch, painting, mark making, mixed media and interactive installations to explore relationships, identity and belonging.
Sue’s sensory-rich work has been featured in The Minories, Southwark Park Gallery, Beecroft Art Gallery, Colchester Art Society’s Summer exhibition, Sluice Magazine and t’Art magazine.
Sue was selected for a Firstsite Collectors’ Group Bursary Award in 2025 to further develop her artistic practice. Greatly influenced by her role as a mother and child psychotherapist, explorations with materiality and care are imbued throughout her art.
Sustainability and giving people a voice are central to her practice.
