Punk Portraits
Saturday 09 May 2026
Installation view, Sue Webster Birth of an Icon, Firstsite, 2026. Photography by Richard Ivey.
Inspired by Sue Webster’s larger-than-life self-portraits, this workshop invites you to create your very own bold and expressive punk portrait.
Through a step-by-step process, you’ll paint a striking self-portrait before transforming it into a rebellious, one-of-a-kind icon – think big hair, tattoos and heavy eyeliner.
However you choose to interpret it, this is your chance to reimagine yourself as a true punk original.
Guided by artist Tina Bullen, who brought you ‘Paint Like..’ and ‘Trust The Process’, you’ll explore creative techniques and build confidence in your artistic voice while embracing experimentation and self-expression.
Suitable for ages 16+.
This workshop is part of the Sue Webster: Birth of an Icon Closing Weekend
