Still Pushing Pineapples is a melancholic yet heartfelt story of the former singer of pop band Black Lace.

It details his journey on the road with his aging mother and his partner, as he aims for a comeback.

Dene Michael is a former member of 1980s pop phenomenon Black Lace, best known for the novelty hit Agadoo.

Once a backing singer performing in costume, Dene unexpectedly found himself at the centre of the band following major lineup changes, inheriting both the spotlight and the long shadow of its legacy.

Decades later, the film follows Dene as he continues to tour the UK and European holiday circuit, performing familiar songs in clubs and seaside venues while navigating the realities of ageing, loyalty and survival in the entertainment industry.
