Celebrate the next generation of Colchester’s artists at the University Centre Colchester (UCC): Legacy exhibition!

Colchester, known for its vibrant cultural history – from thriving art societies and schools to being the launchpad for iconic bands like Blur – remains a hub of creativity today.

In partnership with Colchester Institute, we’re proud to present the UCC: Legacy exhibition, featuring an exciting selection of multimedia works by second and third-year students from University Centre Colchester (UCC).

This show celebrates the creativity sparked by art education, featuring both existing student pieces and new works.

What to expect

Discover a dynamic range of works by 14 artists, alongside contributions from their tutors, all celebrating Colchester’s artistic past and future.

The show delves into urgent themes that matter to our community today such as climate change, addiction, and violence against women – through diverse mediums including sculpture, painting, ceramics, and installations.
