Wild Weaving with Angenita Teekens
Sunday 22 March 2026
Reconnect with nature in our Wild Weaving with Angenita Teekens workshop.
This mindful art workshop explores how raw, compostable materials can be transformed into expressive woven forms through the themes of climate, health, belonging and care.
During the workshop you will be introduced to the possibilities of natural fibres, including sheep fleece, willow, sticks and grasses.
Explore their textures, scents and structures, while discovering how each material bends, twists or resists as you shape your own woven form.
With the guidance from your tutor and the space to experiment, experience how these compostable materials can be manipulated and combined, building your confidence in sustainable craft techniques.
By the end of the workshop you will create a unique woven object inspired by ideas of place, shelter and belonging, such as a nest, vessel or small sculptural structures.
Basic materials provided. Food and drink is also available for purchase throughout the session from our cafes. This workshop is suitable for ages 16+.

What is Wild Weaving?
Wild weaving is a tactile, nature-based art practice that uses unprocessed fibres and foraged materials such as willow, grasses, reeds and fleece to create sculptural forms.
Rooted in traditional craft but open to contemporary interpretation, it encourages close observation, intuitive making and a deep connection to the landscape and materials.
