Catering & Bar Services Manager

Full Time

Flexible to include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

£35,000 per annum

 

Firstsite is a contemporary visual arts organisation based in a stunning, award winning Gallery in Colchester, Essex. Since opening in 2011, Firstsite has welcomed over a million visitors. Firstsite has established its reputation for being an art Gallery of regional and national importance especially through its work bringing internationally significant artworks to very diverse audiences. Firstsite was awarded Art Fund’s Museum of the Year in 2021.

We are looking to appoint a Catering & Bar Services Manager. The role will be responsible for the catering service of Firstsite’s cafés, events and hires, Christmas parties and our highly acclaimed Holiday Fun programme supporting families and young children during the school holidays. The Catering & Bar Services Manager will be responsible for leading a high performing Catering Team to deliver a high quality and environmentally sustainable food offering in a friendly and welcoming setting. 

This is a varied role, offering the opportunity to work on both a commercial and community basis. Developing imaginative menus that are interesting and accessible, support our community and in turn increase footfall and income to Firstsite. All commercial profits are used to support Firstsite’s charitable activities and support the wider community.
