Bugonia follows the spiralling collision between Michelle Fuller, a powerful biotech CEO, and Teddy, a reclusive beekeeper consumed by online conspiracies.
After convincing himself that Michelle is an alien threat sent to wipe out humanity and destroy the planet’s bees, Teddy enacts a chaotic plan with his brother to kidnap her and uncover what he believes is the truth.
As Michelle finds herself imprisoned in their basement, the film shifts into a tense psychological battle, blending dark humour with sharp social commentary.
