Curated by one of Britain’s most significant contemporary artists – Sarah Lucas – and featuring the work of over twenty high-profile female artists, the BIG WOMEN exhibition includes a variety of works that will make you think, laugh and reflect on the role women play in the creative world.

Coinciding with International Women’s Day, the exhibition took over BUILDHOLLYWOOD’s sites right across the UK including London, Brighton, Birmingham, Bristol, Liverpool, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Running for four weeks on a rolling basis across sites and cities our billboards reached over 3 million people, helping to spread the word about BIG WOMEN and encourage people from across the UK to visit.

Maria Guy, Senior Creative Producer at BUILDHOLLYWOOD said:

“This show immediately attracted us. Firstly, the location is such an innovative space, shifting us outside of the London-centric art world, and promoting accessibility through a range of affordable (or even free) resources. Plus, the intentions behind the show, curated by Sarah Lucas, echo the venue’s celebration of diversity, shining a light on older women who are so often overlooked. With all this in mind, we were thrilled to show our support and are delighted that the works look so powerful on our streets.”

We are really grateful for BUILDHOLLYWOOD’s support which has helped us promote this fantastic exhibition far and wide to new audiences right across the UK.
