Complimentary tea will be served on arrival with complimentary snacks provided by local Syrian restaurant, Falafel and More.

Also taking place throughout the event will be a series of Setar performances by Colchester-based Iranian university tutor and Setar player, Morteza Shirzad.

Playing a selection of pieces from great Iranian composers such as Masestros Mohammad Reza Lotfi and Hossein Alizadeh, Morteza will perform in various modes of Persian classical music, accompanied by a recitation of poems from Hafez and Goethe by Anita Debska and Sedighe Soltani.

Additional refreshments will be available to purchase throughout the evening in our colourful café with terrace and all of our current exhibitions will also be open, as will our shop and cinema.
