Queer Film Social

Cinema

The Queer Film Social is a bi-monthly film club created by Firstsite and The OutHouse in partnership with local LGBTQIA+ charities, community groups and voluntary organisations.

More than just a film screening, the Queer Film Social is a space for connection, conversation and celebration.

Through a diverse programme of films exploring LGBTQIA+ lives, experiences and histories, the series aims to champion queer visibility on screen while bringing together members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Each event features a specially selected film followed by an opportunity to socialise, share perspectives and continue the conversation.

Working alongside local community partners helps ensure that the films chosen reflect a broad range of authentic voices and experiences, creating space for meaningful discussion and community building.

Whether you’re a dedicated film lover, looking to meet new people, or interested in exploring diverse queer stories through cinema, the Queer Film Social offers a chance to come together, discover new perspectives and celebrate the richness of LGBTQIA+ culture and community.
