Duty Manager

COLCHESTER, ESSEX

PERMANENT/PART TIME (Contracted) – 18 HPW – Two Week Rota (flexibility to cover absence/holidays: including days, weekends, Bank Holidays and evenings)

£12,403.42 pa (£25,840.46 FTE)

CASUAL (zero hours):  £13.25ph

 

Week 1 (18hpw):

Thu/Fri/Sat; 5:00pm – 11:00pm (6hrs) 

Week 2 (18hpw):

Thu/Fri/Sat; 8:00am – 2:00pm (6hrs)

The successful Duty Manager will be part of a team of three who are responsible for the smooth running of Firstsite’s day to day public facing operations, including those relating to exhibitions, cinema screenings and events.  They will also support the Events & Operations Manager with the facilities work required to keep the building functional. They will support the development of the Front of House and Visitor Assistants. The role requires a genuine commitment to customer care and service excellence, working with and serving visitors and clients from diverse backgrounds.

This role includes a significant amount of manual handling and facilities tasks, IT work, visitor interaction, troubleshooting and financial accountability. The successful candidate will also need to have good teamwork skills to interact across the whole organisation.
