Local art Visual art

I am a visual artist, specialising in aerospace and astronomy. I am a Fellow, and past European Vice-President, of the International Association for Astronomical Artists (www.iaaa.org). My medium of choice is acrylic on canvas, though I also work in mixed media, glass, polymer clay, PMC metals, fibre art, and digitally. Last year my work was included in NASA’s 60th Anniversary Art Show at Houston, Texas. This year I will be exhibiting at the Well House Gallery, Horndon-on-the-Hill, Essex, for the whole month of October.

I have two distinct styles of painting: realism and circles. My realism is based on scientific data and I use my imagination to inspire, inform, and communicate science. My circles style uses colour in a conversation between myself and the viewer – I provide most of the visual information and the viewer mentally completes the image.
