Bekezela Mugova is a mother, keyworker, entrepreneur and a mental health student nurse based in Colchester, Essex. During the pandemic she juggled her university studies with volunteering at the food bank, working as a taxi driver and businesswoman and being a mother. Bekezela contributed to the Firstsite exhibition ‘Art for Life’. The exhibition was the fascinating result of a number of workshops with artists and people in frontline roles in the health and care sectors which examined their experiences of the pandemic and the subsequent effects on their lives.
