Safeguarding

Firstsite is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Key members of staff are trained in safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults and will follow the SET (Southend, Essex and Thurrock) Child Protection Procedures where abuse or neglect is suspected or disclosed.

Any concerns about the welfare of a child or vulnerable adult will normally be shared with their parent(s) or carer(s), as well as with appropriate statutory agencies where necessary. However, where a child or vulnerable adult is believed to be at risk of significant harm, we may refer concerns to the relevant agencies without informing parents or carers first. Information will be shared securely, sensitively and only where necessary to safeguard the individual concerned.

Staff members with responsibility for safeguarding:

· George Karaiskou – Safeguarding Lead (Level 3 Safeguarding Training)

· Beth Hull – Level 3 Safeguarding Training

If you have any safeguarding concerns or would like to speak to one of our safeguarding staff, please call 01206 713700 or email safeguarding@firstsite.uk
