Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) returns for his most dangerous case yet, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, in the third and darkest chapter of Rian Johnson’s murder mystery opus.

When a respected priest is found dead under suspicious circumstances, the community’s carefully maintained façade begins to unravel. Blanc is drawn into a world of religious tension, small-town secrets and clashing beliefs, uncovering a web of motives among the parish’s eclectic congregation.

At the heart of the story is Father Jud Duplenticy, a young priest eager to make a fresh start but burdened by a troubled past. His relationship with the late Monsignor Wicks, a powerful and polarising figure, becomes the key to understanding what really happened.

Around them gathers a lively ensemble of townspeople, each hiding their own history and resentments behind polite smiles and public devotion.

As Blanc pieces together confessions, rivalries and half-truths, the mystery widens into a sharp exploration of faith, morality and modern cultural divides.

Starring Daniel Craig, Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church.

‘Gothic, iconoclastic, engrossing, slyly excoriating of modern-day America and very funny to boot, it’s another solidly satisfying whodunnit from Benny B. Keep them coming, please.’ – Empire ★★★★☆
