Shelley Henderson is the scheme manager of a local family support charity, Home-Start Colchester Jaywick and Clacton. During the pandemic Shelley managed a team of staff to provide families in financial and emotional need with emergency parenting, befriending calls and essential items such as food, baby packs, and washing packs.

Esther Kiehl is a clinical psychologist in the local NHS mental health trust, EPUT. During the pandemic, she kept doing her job, learned to muddle through with a lot of new technology and enjoyed the empty trains on her commute.

Bekezela Mugova is a mother, keyworker, entrepreneur and a mental health student nurse based in Colchester, Essex. During the pandemic she juggled her university studies with volunteering at the food bank, working as a taxi driver and businesswoman and being a mother.
